The initiative\, hosted by AWS Security Users Group and organized by Armada Innovation Labs in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Makati Arnaiz and JA Philippines\, aims to empower underserved youth with AI\, cybersecurity\, and digital skills—preparing them for high-value careers both locally and globally. \nHighlights of the Program\n \nOpening Remarks – Delivered by Reese Balbastro\, Vice President of Business Development at Antarex Cyber PH\, setting the tone for the day’s learning journey. \n \nKeynote Session – Dean Armada\, CEO & Chief Architect of Armada Innovation Labs\, led the discussion on Youth & Young Leaders Track and Cybersecurity\, inspiring students to envision their role in the digital future. \n \nCareer Journey Talk – Justine Romero\, Pre-Sales professional at Antarex Cyber PH\, shared her transition from marketing to tech pre-sales\, offering real-world insights to aspiring youth. \n \nTech Demo – Kyle Atendido\, Sr. DevOps/DevSecOps and AWS Security Users Group Advocate\, showcased practical applications of cloud security and AI. \n \nInteractive Games & Breaks kept participants energized and engaged throughout the program. \n \nPanel Forum: Public-Private Partnerships in Technology – A thought-provoking discussion featuring: \n\nDean Armada (Armada Innovation Labs)\nJustine Romero (Antarex Cyber PH)\nSheila Vasquez (Unite For Good President\, Rotary Club of Makati Arnaiz)\nAngelica Anne Munar\, PhD (JA Philippines Mentor and Adviser)\nModerated by Haifa Carina (Alliances & Partnerships Manager\, Ascendion)\n\n \nMedia Engagement – Representatives from Malaya Business Insight\, Daily Tribune\, Business Mirror\, Tech & Lifestyle Journal\, and Manila Standard participated in a Farside Chat and Q&A\, amplifying the event’s message to a wider audience. \nClosing Remarks – Kyle Atendido wrapped up the day by encouraging participants to continue exploring opportunities in AI and cybersecurity. \nImpact\nDay 1 of Project FUTURE: AI-LIT created a platform where students not only gained technical insights but also connected with industry leaders and media representatives. DESCRIPTION:Last April 28\, 2026\, industry professionals\, government representatives\, private sector leaders\, and students gathered at the AWS Office\, 21st Floor Arthaland Tower\, Taguig City\, for an insightful afternoon of learning and collaboration during the event\, “Building & Securing AI Infrastructure in the Cloud.” \n \nHosted by the AWS Security Users Group and organized by Armada Innovation Labs in collaboration with Nutanix and M-Security Tech Philippines\, Inc.\, the event brought together experts and enthusiasts to discuss the future of AI infrastructure\, cloud technologies\, and AI security. \n \nThe program opened with “Scaling AI: Traditional vs Cloud-Native” presented by Kyle Atendido\, where attendees learned about modern approaches to scaling AI workloads and the advantages of cloud-native architectures. \nThis was followed by “Security of AI” by Kate Viloria\, who shared valuable insights on securing AI environments\, managing risks\, and strengthening cloud security strategies for AI-driven systems. \nFor the third session\, Dean Armada discussed “Foundation of AI: On-Prem vs Cloud\,” highlighting the differences\, benefits\, and considerations of deploying AI infrastructures in both on-premise and cloud environments. \n \nAttendees also enjoyed interactive games and networking opportunities during the short break\, creating a collaborative and engaging atmosphere throughout the event. \nThe final session\, “How to Deploy\, Manage & Secure LLMs & Inference Endpoints with Nutanix Enterprise AI\,” was presented by Martin Sindiong\, showcasing practical solutions and enterprise-ready strategies for managing and securing large language models and AI inference workloads using Nutanix technologies. \n \nThe event concluded successfully with meaningful discussions\, knowledge sharing\, and stronger connections among the AI\, cloud\, and cybersecurity community.
